How we work

Collaboration and partnership

The Granite Care Consortium has collaboration at its heart.

Bringing together 10 highly experienced and trusted providers with over 400 years’ combined experience, our consortium collaborates both internally and externally, achieving the best outcomes for individuals in the most efficient way. Underpinned by our unparalleled knowledge and expertise in Aberdeen, this true spirit of partnership maximises market stability and reliability, all while driving up standards of care locally.

Outcomes

Each person we support benefits from a person-led approach, building on the Granite Care Consortium’s shared values as a basis but in each case focussing on the individual’s needs and hopes.

Transitioning to a new approach to care

GCC is working with the Aberdeen Health and Social Care partnership to transition to a new way of working, moving away from time-and-task approaches and towards outcome focused working, promoting enablement for staff and service users.

Positively leveraging our consortium’s experience and capabilities as part of an innovative delivery model, we bring market stability alongside innovation and an outcomes focus.

Community benefit

We are committed to the achievement of community benefit, delivered via both consortium members and subcontractors, contributing to our overarching objectives of delivering improved outcomes for people in and around Aberdeen. Working hand-in-hand with our objectives to deliver improved outcomes for people in receipt of care, our approach to community benefits supports us in strengthening communities for the benefit of local people.

Innovation

We will innovate to ensure the ongoing reliability of the service, capitalising on all opportunities for efficiency savings to maintain our ability to accept referrals and sustainably meet all requirements.

Innovation will also be critical in ensuring people’s safety and wellbeing during the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thereafter, these same innovations will continue to support people to live with optimal independence and reduced reliance on physical support.

This will all add up to higher quality services and better outcomes at reduced cost.
